In 2008, I was driving behind a trailer who was hauling a canoe. In their rush to leave the lake, they had forgotten to tie the canoe!!! The canoe promptly proceeded to fly off the car. It landed across the road, in a field. Not a scratch on it! The event could have turned differently if it had happened in the city, or if the canoe had hit incoming traffic. At speed, a flying canoe could give some poor pedestrian a serious headache!

That was great advice, especially with the easy knots and special ways to anchor the ropes. So glad I watched it.
